Mission and Scope

Nutritional Therapy & Metabolism (NT&M) - Official Journal of SINPE, the Italian Society of Artificial Nutrition and Metabolism - is a quarterly publication dealing with nutritional and metabolic topics regarding both healthy people and patients treated with hospital and home artificial nutrition. The core of this publication is the role of the nutritional therapy that is intended to prevent and cure malnutrition, often considered a “disease in the disease” in several pathologic conditions; the transversal character of the journal is therefore a critical element of NT&M as the nutritional therapy involves many experts (gastroenterologists, neurologists, nephrologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, geriatricians, cardiologists). Special attention is also given to starvation, to the epidemiology of diseases related to malnutrition and to all news concerning nutrients and/or enteral and parenteral formulas.
