It gives us great pleasure welcoming you to participate in the 4th World Congress on Vascular Access, taking place in Lisbon, Portugal on June 22-24, 2016.
For the fourth time, we bring the most important experts in Vascular Access together to share results of research, protocols, innovations and expertise.
This unique multidisciplinary and multi-professional event will cover all aspects of vascular access: indications for the choice of the device, insertion techniques, tip location methods and prevention and management of all vascular access device (VAD) related complications, e.g. infection, thrombosis, occlusion, etc.
Discussion will focus on excellence in vascular access, safety, cost effectiveness and efficiency and the demand for globally shared guidelines for the clinical practice.
Scientific and educational sessions hosted by international experts will offer an exceptional occasion for updating knowledge in this field, sharing experiences and learning about future trends in the area of vascular access.
The meeting will take place at the Congress Center in Lisbon adjacent to the river Tagus. The riverfront of the River Tagus is dedicated to leisure activities and links the monumental zone of Belém with the modern area of the Parque das Nações.
Lisbon is a city with a rich history of thousands of years and a perfect climate. One can walk through streets filled with heritage monuments, parks and little cafés and restaurants in various characteristic neighborhoods.
